About Dr. Zenga

Dr. Debbie Zenga earned her doctorate in Clinical psychology with an emphasis in Integrative Psychotherapy from the California School of Professional Studies at Alliant International University in San Diego. Dr. Zenga specializes in utilizing an integrative orientation in treating chronic pain, addictive behaviors/chemical dependency, depression, anxiety, trauma, intimate partner violence, and grief and bereavement. Dr. Zenga uses a variety of therapeutic approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic, humanistic, and existential therapy to assist patients to understand, cope and manage their conditions.

Dr. Zenga’s career accomplishments include assisting to develop and evaluate a chemical dependency program within a hospital setting, assisting in the development and oversite of a long-term crisis stabilization program serving the needs of older adults in San Diego County; and serving as program manager for a community behavioral health program in San Diego County.  Dr. Zenga is also a professor in San Diego County specializing in psychological studies and has an interest in multiculturalism and diversity.

Dr. Zenga is an English speaking Registered Psychological Assistant working under the supervision of Dr. Neda Khodaparast, Psy.D., QME.  Her main objective is to help patients better understand themselves, foster healthier relationships, and find meaning and purpose in their lives.
