Dr. Martinez holds a master’s degree in Sport Psychology and a doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the JFK School of Psychology at National University. He conducts psychological evaluations and provides individual psychotherapy, specializing in cases involving childhood trauma, abuse, PTSD, depression, and anxiety. He provides an empathic atmosphere and values the importance of adapting to the patients’ circumstances and current state before customizing a treatment plan. Through an integrative approach, Dr. Martinez incorporates psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness to help patients identify and eliminate unwanted thought patterns through developing healthy coping strategies.

Prior to accepting a position with The Green Room, Dr. Martinez worked at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in Oakland, California, where he specialized in ADHD assessment and worked with the psychiatry crisis response team. He has experience administering forensic and immigration psychological evaluations, addressing complex psychological issues in diverse populations. He has also contributed to the field of sport psychology, working as a mental performance trainer at De La Salle High School, enhancing the mental and emotional well-being of student athletes. His extensive experiences underscore his passion for advancing mental health and well-being across diverse settings. When Dr. Martinez is not at work, he enjoys coaching soccer and going on runs.
